Our Mission

To inspire and inform families and individuals in the RV lifestyle through our personnel experiences while we live full time in our RV. Our dream is to experience and discover Canada from coast to coast to coast. We will write about this life and post our adventures so that they might entice you to travel throughout Canada and experience its beauty.

This will start in earnest July 2022 when we take some of our grandchildren across Canada as this is a rich and diverse country, the second largest in the world that stretches 9,306 km (5,780 miles) west to the east coast. The extreme north-south distance is 4,634 km (2873 miles). Canada’s most northerly point is 725 km (450 miles) south of the North Pole.

About Us

Cindy and I are semi-retired who live full time in our RV travel trailer from May through to October, at which point we travel out of the country to otherworldly destinations. We have been doing this off and on since 2017. We still work the summer months as we still need to earn an income so that we can afford the travel that we enjoy.

We enjoy the RV lifestyle and look forward to being able to discover Canada by traveling with our RV. We own a 2011 F350 diesel that we use to pull our 2013 Forest River toy hauler which we have converted somewhat as we no longer have the toy. Starting the spring of 2022 this is all going to change, as we have decided that we will no longer need to work and we can enjoy life on our terms. That being said we have made plans to take several exciting trips, the first in 2022 and then again in 2023.

The Motivation For This Blog

Cindy and I have a mixed family as this is the second marriage for both of us, this means that not all the grandchildren are blood-related, but that being said they have spent time together in the past. We do not live that near to our grandkids and thought that this would be a great opportunity for all of us to spend time together and make everlasting memories.

So starting 2022 will be taking a cross-Canada RVing trip starting in Alberta and taking us all the way to Nova Scotia. The planned start date is the end of June through to the end of August. The unique part of the trip is that we are going to be taking our three oldest granddaughters with us, ranging in age from 16 the oldest, to 15 and 13.

The following year 2023 is yet another big trip planned but this time we will be taking the three oldest grandsons who will be 15, 14, and 12, respectively. The route for this trip will be very different as we will be heading up to Canada’s north visiting Northwest Territories, Yukon, and then over to Alaska. This will allow us plenty of fishing and bonding time. The intended dates are mid-June through the end of August. This northern trip will be special for me as I have spent several years in Canada’s north and a revisit would be nice.

So this is the reason we have started this RV blog, to document our travels and hopefully inspire others to travel Canada and spend time with their kids or in our case grandkids. We do hope to write a book about these truly remarkable and memorable trips as there should be some interesting times.
